We are pleased to announce that Fisherrow Yacht Club are hosting the annual Discover sailing event on May the 4th from 10am.
Discover Sailing is an initiative backed by the RYA to encourage sailing clubs all around the UK to pick a date to open up to the general public and offer taster sessions. Each participant will have the opoortunity to have a 30 minute dinghy sailing experience, a quick burl in the club rescue speedboat and a place to dry off before a clubhouse tour and tea and biscuits.
It has proved very popular over the past few years with many people kickstarting their sailing journey on that day and now skippering their own yachts on Mediterranian cruises.
All this will be happening at the same time as the Fisherrow Harbour Festival which attracted large crowds last year with its music stages, stalls and RNLI & Anstruther Fishing Museum demonstrations.

Minimum age is 8 years old, particpants should be fit and able enough to enter a dinghy in waist deep water, a rough marker would be able to exit a swimming pool without use of a ladder.
