Following last month's AGM, the newly elected Committee have their first meeting tonight.

The AGM was well attended and passed all motions put before them, these included

  • a modest increase in fees in line with inflation,
  • a new volunteer charter setting out the relationship the club expects to exist between members and the club as a whole.
  • a formalisation of the conditions of keeping your dinghy at the club, in short we expect it to be well maintained and well used, space is tight and we have a waiting list for spots, unused dinghies will be asked to be stored off site.

We also enjoyed a great talk from Jo Gardner about cruising the Forth and the lessons learnt during their maiden voyage in new boat Mayflower, a Colvic Countess 28, accompanied by wine and cheese. There was even an impromtu jam in the bar afterwards, all in all a very successful and social evening.
